Whatever way they come, the Phoenix will forward your suggestions to the mayor. Here's what other people are saying:
The relationship between the police and the minority neighborhoods has improved dramatically, but other city departments lag behind. Street light maintainence, snow plowing, trash removal, sign replacement, etc. are either completely ignored or done after months of constant requests. Why?

I'd like to see Boston become more friendly to navigate. Street signs are horrible, my favorite being one on Memorial Drive Eastbound near the B.U. Boathouse, pointing out that the MFA is straight ahead, presumably somewhere in Charlestown. Sure you can get there from here, but we won't help you figure out how. Or the famous "4 lanes becomes two" Urban Planner's Masochistic Dream at the Harvard Socccer Fields intersection on Soldiers Field Road, whipsawing unwary commuters to and fro avoiding flying fenders. Granted, a city laid out on cow paths (urban legend?) will have its quirks, but making the city less daunting for visitors on the move should be an integral part of any city that dreams of Olympics and the country's largest Convention Center. And for God's sake, I'll pay $1.00 per ride just for some air conditioning in the Park Street T!!!!
