Calphalon Cajun Seasoning

Zing for your supper

by Theresa Regli

NOSHING & SIPPING
If you've ever made jambalaya -- or any traditional Cajun preparation -- you know that there's an almost ridiculous number of seasonings needed. You can save time with a pre-mixed seasoning like this one, from cookware manufacturer Calphalon. The Cajun blend is a mix of onion, garlic, paprika, thyme, celery seed, allspice, lemon peel, marjoram, clove, bay leaf, and five different types of pepper. Rub it on meat or seafood or add it to rice; at $4.50 for a 1.7-ounce container, it's a much better deal than purchasing everything separately. It's sold alongside Calphalon cookware, at stores including Crate & Barrel and Williams-Sonoma.
