Trader Joe’s ketchup potato sticks
Stick it to 'em
BY DAVID L. HARRIS
Previous Columns

Anybody who can attest to the addictiveness of potato sticks (think French’s brand here) will find this snack addictive indeed. Combining the vinegary and tomato-y flavors of ketchup with the crunchiness of a processed potato snack, Trader Joe’s ketchup potato sticks are, simply put, very good for faux pommes frites. What makes this French-fry-like snack even better is the spinach and beetroot purée that’s added, giving the powdery red potato sticks their light-green-and-red color on the inside. No artificial colors or flavors here, so you can feel pretty good about taking your snack break. And the best part? Licking your red-tinged fingers afterward.

Available for $2.19 for a six-ounce bag at Trader Joe’s stores.
