WEDNESDAY, July 28, 2004 -- A light drizzle fell over Faneuil Hall about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night, as Chris Matthews sat under a well-lit white tent, holding court for Andrea Mitchell, Howard Fineman, Willie Brown, and Christopher Buckley for a live taping of MSNBC’s Hardball. As the pundits yakked and yakked some more about the night’s proceedings, a mass of a hundred or so onlookers mugged for the cameras behind them. Meanwhile, a middle-aged man ambled up to a twentysomething kid who was dressed to the nines in a dapper tuxedo, outfitted with a cartoonish plastic cigar and a luxuriant fake moustache — obviously a reveler from that evening’s " Billionaires for Bush " march. Without batting an eye at the guy’s inconcruous attire, he nudged him. " D’ya ever hear such bullshit? Ya just wonder how every day after every day after every day they just talk about the same old BULLSHIT! I mean, shit! It’s the same shit every day! " It's too bad the Hardball boom mikes weren’t just a little more sensitive. . .
