FREE SPEECH, 2; HOMOPHOBES,
0. Media Log has learned that the gay-and-lesbian newspaper
Bay
Windows will return to
two supermarkets, Stop & Shop and Shaw's, perhaps as early as
this week.
After objections were raised by the
anti-gay Article 8 Alliance, Stop & Shop declined
to carry the free weekly,
citing the explicit personal ads. Bay Windows has reportedly
moved to stop publishing such ads, and now Stop & Shop has
decided to welcome the newspaper back.
The situation with Shaw's has been
murkier, but I'm told Bay Windows will be back there,
too.
Looks like Brian Camenker is going
to have to update
his website.

Well, once again, Ms. "Massresistance" is listing all the places where Baywindows can be picked up. She actually listed the exact locations where the boxes are. Two issues exist with what she has done. One, the more people that take the papers the more Bay Windows can charge for it's ads. Two, if damage occurs to these boxes she is opening herself to civl and criminal charges. She has finally crossed the line.
I'm guessing that she just copied a list that was published in the newspaper itself.
The massresistance list is clearly lifted from Bay Windows. oddly, Bay Windows doesn't include the massresistance intro text:
Look for the blue boxes on streetcorners, in front of your library, post office, or other such location. Then call up your town hall or the business/institution where the box is to ask them to remove it.
You know, the KKK was brought to justice for inciting violence against blacks. What Ms Massresistance is doing is the same thing. From reading her blog she is baiting people to go out and take or damage the boxes. Bay Windows is going to have some great lawsuit on their hand. This is going to get good!
Honestly, I see nothing on the massresistance site that would lead to a lawsuit. She published public info and didn't urge people to vandalise anything--just to annoy businesses nearby to try to get them to remove the boxes. It's silly, and she's clearly homophobic, offended by clear talk of sex, and rather unpleasant to read. But that's very different than doing anything illegal.
The only real issue is see is equating the spread of Bay Windows with gay marriage. In fact, Bay Windows has been around and in fairly wide distribution for the fifteen years I've live here...
Here's what Ms. Massresistance has to say:
As we said in the "Hall of Shame" posting:
GET USED TO IT. THIS IS WHAT "GAY MARRIAGE" INCLUDES. Pornography and perversion on our streetcorners, in our supermarkets, in our public libraries. AND YOU CAN'T OBJECT. (OR CAN YOU?)
For a reminder of what's inside Bay Windows, see our previous posts:

"Gay" Bay Windows Vile Attack on the Pope
Actually she is advocating local governments be urged to violate Bay Window's First Amendment rights. The Massresistance blogger writes "Look for the blue boxes on streetcorners, in front of your library, post office, or other such location. Then call up your town hall or the business/institution where the box is to ask them to remove it." While a buisness has a clear right to stop distribution of a paper on its private property if it wishes, the 1st Amendment of our US Constitution would prohibit any local government from removing the newspaper's vending boxes. So she is advocating illegal action.
Even if an action is illegal, it's still legal to advocate it.
I don't think that's true. If you're advocating an illegal act your involved in the process. These people are just insane. They hide behind their computer screen and constantly berate the gay community. What they are really preaching is hate speech. If someone said the things they said about african americans or some religious group they would be arrested.
Bay Windows should publish every single place that they distribute their newspapers. It is twisted logic, but if Article 8 wants to increase Bay Windows "influence" they should vandalize and steal piles of newspapers everywhere they can find them. The media backlash would be instantaneous, which would be good, I suspect, for another media outlet, like Bay Windows. Meanwhile MassResistance and Article 8, and whoever else is out there, will just look like a bunch of frothy mouthed petty thieves. It'll be fun to watch.
I just added your electrolysis permanent hair removal blog to my book marks and will be checking back often
