10. BRITNEY SPEARS, "HOLD IT AGAINST ME"
I was stoked when rumors started to surface that she was going dubstep — Brit getting hip to '06! Subversive wobbly noises infiltrating the mainstream and freaking out the squares! But, alas, no squares shall be outfroken — most of the dubstep is cordoned off into a little 30-second playpen at the end, so as not to get the rest of the track too grubby. Elsewhere, this is Britney's dumbshittest single since the teen-pop days, as you could probably tell by the title; the verses are a tuneless waste of time, and the chorus rips off a lame, antique pick-up line (and a lame, antique country song, to boot). Woof.

Let's check out Billboard 's Digital Songs chart, which tracks the most-downloaded songs in all genres. Should make for some interesting diversity, right? No! Actually, it's all the same crap from the Hot 100 in a slightly different order.
  •   REVIEW: JUSTIN BIEBER: NEVER SAY NEVER  |  February 15, 2011
John Chu's account of Bieber's rise from YouTube urchin to arena-packing teen Adonis is as impeccably groomed as our hero's hairdo, but that's fine - anyone looking for a gritty, warts-and-all Bieber bio is probably a miserable

When I dig into the press-release bin, I'm usually scavenging for cheap laughs and idiotic stunts. This week, however, I found something different: the melding of rock and literature. Incredible leaps in technology. Genuine advancements in the arts.
  •   THE BIG HURT: A SWIFT DESCENT INTO CAKE, BROADCASTING DEATH, AND STEVEN TYLER'S IDOL  |  January 26, 2011
It was a minor tragedy when blameless young TAYLOR SWIFT scored the worst-selling #1 album in recorded chart history. But the humiliation didn't end there: the poor kid's record was shattered only a week later by quasi-novelty dorks CAKE , who managed to knock her off the top spot with an even weaker chart debut.
