On FRIDAY (the 28th), Gavage leads a solid bill at Machines with Magnets, with Invisible Hours, 24 Hours, and The Astrobastards (401.473.2655), while down the road at the Met (401.729.1005) Vanna leads an all-ages tilt with support from Raindance, Trophy Wives, and more. What Cheer Antiques & Vintage is the place to be SATURDAY (the 1st) for a free in-store performance by Death Vessel, as Joel Thibodeau & Co. return with a new album, Island Intervals (recorded in Iceland with folks from Sigor Ros). The show starts at 6 pm, and the band will sign copies of the disc; call 401.861.4244. RI Ska Productions celebrates its sixth anniversary at the Parlour with a fistful of regional acts, including locals Ocean Roots as well as The Allstonians, The New Limits, and more (21+, $10 at the door, 401.383.5858). Start your SUNDAY (the 2nd) with an all-star Pete Seeger tribute at Nick-a-Nee’s kicking off around 4 pm (no cover, 401.861.7290); then head over to Firehouse 13 (401.270.1801) for the Ladies Rock! Camp showcase at 7 pm. Ahead to WEDNESDAY (the 5th), check out The Tossers, The Continental, Sharks Come Cruisin’, and The Pourmen at Fête (all ages); and head back to Fête’s lounge next THURSDAY (the 6th) and catch Seattle-based garage-fuzz duo My Goodness opening for Brooklyn’s Augustines ($12 at the door). Dial 401.383.1112 for info on both shows.
