SPRINGA is making a rock-opera-esque film — 42 songs big — sparked by his own trek from car-accident victim to the hospital and finally into what he calls “a state-run crazy house.” He says it’s a “prince and the pauper” tale in which a rock star switches identity with a roadie, gets in an accident, is locked up, “and everybody thinks he’s insane.” Joining Springa — who stars, writes, and directs — is his pal former

TINA DELELLIS died April 8 of a heart attack, age 70. The Davis Square club’s shows were cancelled through the end of last week in her honor. “Tina just dedicated herself to the idea of a friendly nightclub where people could hear good live music,” says booker/soundman Dana Westover. Her daughter Carla and Carla’s husband, Sean Sturgis, long-time managers at the club, will succeed DeLellis, who had run the restaurant/club since 1969.
