* Values: crisis-oriented, specifically influenced by the AIDS crisis; focused on saving lives.

* Type of organizing: graffiti, "zaps" and other forms of street theater, civil disobedience to demonstrate anger of gays and lesbians, shutting down institutions, grabbing immediate media attention.
