If you have an errand or appointment near Kendall Square, this is the place to stop for lunch. Lunch-time dishes sure to make you smile include pollo alla parmigiana, a succulent chicken cutlet smothered in fresh tomato sauce and topped with melted mozzarella toasted to perfection ($5.50). There's also pollo con pesto, grilled chicken on a thick bed of pesto ($6), and enormous vegetarian or prosciutto panini ($6). The pan-pizza rectangles are phenomenal. Try the Margherita, made with plenty of tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil, and extra-virgin olive oil ($1.50), or the capricciosa, with artichokes, mushrooms, ham, and olives ($2). Dinner entrees range in price from $9.95 to $17.50.

Toto Ristorante Italiano, located at 111 Harvard Street between Broadway and Main Streets, across from Technology Square in Cambridge, is open Tuesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 5 p.m. until midnight.
