Whack-a-CEO

by Mark Bazer

PlayStation 2 may be all the rage, but can it give video-gamers the feeling of righteousness that comes with mastering games like "Find the Health Insurance" and "Shatter the Glass Ceiling"? Those are a few of the offerings in the arcade department of the AFL-CIO's Web site (www.aflcio.org/arcade/index.htm). The union's online games are simple and classic: "Find the Health Insurance," for example, is a shell-game variation that raises the stakes by placing health insurance under one of three insanely fast-moving shells.

Michael Moore must be hitting himself over the head for not thinking of the idea first. He'd be better off taking out his aggressions with the AFL-CIO's version of "Whack-a-Mole." Players are instructed to "position your mouse/hammer over any of the six holes where the greedy CEOs are hiding. Wait for a greedy CEO to emerge. Click to smash corporate greed."
