Mike's Restaurant

Situated in the heart of Davis Square, this Italian eatery serves tremendous entrées for not-so-tremendous prices. The décor is spartan, but huge windows let in the atmosphere of Davis Square itself. The fettucini alfredo ($7) is a sure bet, and for an extra $1.50 you can get a portion of garlic bread topped with mozzarella. Or try the tasty ziti with meatballs ($5).

If you have room for dessert, sample the tiramisú (a generous helping for $3.39). An added bonus at Mike's is the selection of beer -- 250 kinds from around the world, ranging from $2 bottles to $9.50 pitchers. Just bring 10 bucks and your appetite, and be prepared to take home leftovers.

Mike's Restaurant, located at 9 Davis Square, in Somerville, is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to midnight. Delivery is available. Call 628-2379.
