Sorelle Bakery's orange-poppy scones

In its own way, Sorelle Bakery and Café has become almost as much of a landmark as the towering Bunker Hill Monument in whose far shadows it stands. Opened eight years ago by two friends, Marc and Mark, Sorelle sells orange-poppy scones that are moist and flavorful; there's fresh orange zest inside the scones and orange juice in the glaze. The scones are a steal at $1.05; larger fresh-fruit "scones of the day" are also available for $1.50 each.
