Meals for people on the go

Trader Joe's frozen entrées

A surprisingly flavorful, healthful, and inexpensive meal can be yours in less than 10 microwaveable minutes (or about 20 conventional-oven minutes). You have three choices: chicken breast in a zesty black-pepper sauce with rice and black beans ($2.69); grilled chicken breast in salsa Vera Cruz with rice and broccoli florets ($2.69); and vegetable Vera Cruz with rice, creamed yams, and black beans ($1.99). With no artificial colors or flavors and less sodium than typical frozen-food products, these quick meals beat junk food any day.

Trader Joe's has two locations. The Cambridge store, located at 727 Memorial Drive (near Magazine Street), is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; call 491-8582. The Brookline store, located at 1317 Beacon Street (at Harvard Street), is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; call 278-9997.
