The Wings of a Dove

Iain Softley adapts the Henry James masterpiece about Merton Densher and Kate Croy, who hope to marry if they can find the money, and American heiress Milly Theale, whose shadow overspreads them. Linus Roache is Merton, Helena Bonham Carter is Kate, Alison Elliott is Milly. Screens at the Cheri Thursday at 7:30 and 9:40 p.m. and at the Copley Place Friday at noon and 2:20 and 4:40 p.m. Director Iain Softley and star Helena Bonham Carter will appear before Thursday's 7:30 showing, when Bonham Carter will receive the Boston Film Excellence Award.
