Blade Runner

(1982; screens Saturday at 7:45 p.m.)

Set in 21st-century Los Angeles, Ridley Scott's adaptation of the Philip K. Dick detective thriller Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is an extraordinary visual achievement, with Harrison Ford as the bounty hunter called on to "retire" four dangerous androids, Rutger Hauer as his most deadly enemy, Sean Young perfectly cast as an android who believes herself to be human, and, memorably, Daryl Hannah as the murderous doll Pris.
