The Postman

(Warners)

This Kevin Costner disaster is set in the year 2013, where civilization has crumbled and in some remote recess decent folk struggle for survival in a lawless, Western-like landscape tyrannized by megalomaniac General Bethlehem. Naturally Costner, as a stranger claiming to be a US Postal Service jock, comes riding in to save the day. Too bad he can't save the film.
