Dickens's classic is updated to the present and set on the Gulf Coast. Ethan Hawke is the Pip character (here called Finn Bell), Gwyneth Paltrow is Estella, Anne Bancroft is the Miss Havisham character (here Ms. Dinsmoor), and Robert De Niro is the manacled convict whom Finn/Pip helps. It's not great, and it's not Dickens -- but what did you expect?
