The Leading Man

(BMG)

Aussie auteur John Duigan (Sirens, Flirting, The Wide Sargasso Sea) adds to his eclectic résumé with this pouty drama about a theater troupe and its emotional entanglements off stage. Among the members: Felix Webb (Lambert Wilson), "England's greatest living playwright"; his actress mistress (the sensuous Thandie Newton); his wife (Anna Galiena); and Jon Bon Jovi as a brash American movie star. Bon Jovi's the weak link.
