The "virus" of John Bruno's sci-fi disaster flick is a malevolent electronic infestation that takes over a high-tech Russian research vessel caught in the eye of a typhoon and snares the crew of a sinking tug who take refuge aboard the ghost ship. Jamie Lee Curtis, William Baldwin, Joanna Pacula, and Donald Sutherland all go down with the ship in this suspenseless big-budget "thriller."
