Jacob’s Pillow gets under way this week with Savion Glover joined by guests Jimmy Slyde and Dianne Walker in the Ted Shawn Theatre. The following weeks will bring the Martha Graham Dance Company June 29 through July 3, Ronald K. Brown/Evidence joined by jazz vocalist Nnenna Freelon July 6 through 10; Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, from San Francisco, July 13 through 17; Garth Fagan Dance July 20 through 24; Mark Morris Dance Group, back for its 18th year at the Pillow, July 26 through 31; Stockholm/59° North, 20 principals and soloists from the Royal Swedish Ballet, August 3 through 7; Aspen Santa Fe Ballet August 10 through 14; Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montréal doing Stijn Celis’s Les Noces August 17 through 21; and New Zealand’s Black Grace, the hit of Jacob’s Pillow 2004, August 24 through 28. In the smaller Doris Duke Theatre, meanwhile, we’ll get Australia’s Chunky Move June 30 through July 3; Rennie Harris Puremovement July 7 through 10; Ben Munisteri Dance Projects, from New York’s downtown arts scene, July 14 through 17; Mexico’s A Poc A Poc in their US debut July 21 through 24; Aszure Barton’s ASzURe & Artists July 28 through 31; Susan Marshall & Company August 4 through 7; Trey McIntyre Project August 11 through 14; johannes wieland August 18 through 21; and Tokyo’s Project Fukurow August 25 through 28.
