SEPTEMBER 26

Not a fan of waking up at the crack of dawn to go to the farmer’s market? Catch up on a cornucopia of fall produce at Sel de la Terre (255 State Street, Boston) on September 26, when chef Geoff Gardner partners with Stillman’s Farm to present a four-course dinner, including corn flan, radish risotto, smoked Long Island duck breast, and butternut-squash ice cream. While you sample the fall fare, Glenn Stillman will share tidbits with guests about his "conscientiously-grown" fall harvest. Seating is at 7 pm and the cost is $48; valet parking is available. Call 617.720.1300 for reservations and information.

The restaurant, along with Lange Winery, will offer a night that’ll make you feel like a real wine enthusiast. Morton’s and Sam Adams Brewery will serve up tasty hors d’oeuvres, including mini crab cakes and filet-mignon sandwiches, while you sip premier brews. A Sam Adams brewmaster will be on hand to offer beer-tasting tips on featured varieties, including the classic Boston Lager and creative concoctions such as the Octoberfest, Crème Stout, and Cherry Wheat. The event runs from 6 to 7:30 pm; the cost is $25. Call 617.266.5858 for reservations and information.
