You're being too hard on yourself. Better late than never. Both Seinfeld and Larry Sanders failed to catch on in the UK, and they are two of the greatest comedies ever made.
On BBC America, you encourage viewers to use closed captioning since the programs contain accents "which you would hear much more if you didn't throw our tea in the Boston Harbor." Beside me speaking more like you, what do you supposed the world would look like today if the Minutemen and the Redcoats hadn't gone at it 233 years ago?
I can't answer that question. It's just too painful. It's like asking me what would my life would have been like if my first girlfriend hadn't broken my heart in pieces. You might not have been our first girlfriend, or indeed our only girlfriend at the time, but that doesn't mean that we didn't care for you, or that we wouldn't take you back in a heartbeat if you'd just come to your senses.
Anyway, sorry about that whole Tea Party thing. But I'm hoping don't hold it against us and still enjoy coming to Boston. What do you — or do you not — enjoy about our humble city?
