Editorials throughout the years
By PHOENIX STAFF | December 18, 2008
We've spent eight long years with Dubya and they haven't been pretty or pleasant. From the Iraq War and infringement on civil liberties to the financial crisis he’s helped dive the country into, W is hands down the worst president this country has ever seen. But we finally get to say goodbye and as a send-off gift we compiled our favorite editorial pieces on our favorite politician.

- On the national affront
Where does one begin to recap 12 months of such willful self-parody?
- Jim nauseam
In the early days of the Obama administration, one politically perilous warning keeps resurfacing for the man in the Oval Office: "Don't turn into another Jimmy Carter."

- Trash tongue talker
In an amazing development, experts at the University of No Place In Particular But Possibly Fort Kent have discovered that statements made in political advertisements are almost always bald-faced lies.
- The Obama imperative
Two things stand between almost certain economic and social catastrophe: the prospect of the Democrats maintaining — or expanding — their majority in the Senate, and the reelection of President Barack Obama.
- Stein or Supreme: What kind of voter am I?
I'm an Italian Bostonian from Korean Queens who's embarrassed by Caucasian corniness and loves soul food. Race isn't my big issue, though; I despise Glenn Beck and Tyler Perry equally, adore Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld, and loathe both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
- The Big Hurt: One week ago in brief
Due to my strange publishing schedule, I'm writing this on November 5, the day before Mitt Romney will be elected to our highest office. I'm not at all worried about jinxing him, since he's a total lock and absolutely nothing could go wrong.
