Is that Yuletide spirit rocking your wallet this month? While the live music scene quiets down a bit, there's still plenty of quality low-dough shows around, so get out there! Last call for the REVEREND HORTON HEAT with CONTINENTAL and THE McGUNKS at Fête on THURSDAY (the 13th). Then head back there on FRIDAY (the 14th) and revel in the annual CHRISTMAS ROCK 'N' ROLL EXTRAVAGANZA, led by YELLOW SNOW (featuring ex-Kanerko frontman Al Diaz) with JAY BERNDT & THE ORPHANS and the JESS LEWIS BAND; tix are $10 at the door and proceeds will benefit the 2013 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Call the Fête concert line at 401.383.1113 for info on both shows. Also on Friday, HAZE and SPIRITUAL REZ play the Ocean Mist (401.782.3740); a king-sized drunk-punk throwdown features THE BRUNT OF IT (celebrating a new album release) with BURNING STREETS, STRAY BULLETS, THE PITY WHORES, and more (401.270.1801). Then cruise over to Dusk for some serious booty shaking ably guided by ROUTE .44 along with BOO CITY and CONSUELO'S REVENGE kicking it off around 10 pm ($7, 401.714.0444). On SATURDAY (the 15th), STEVE SMITH & THE NAKEDS play the Narragansett Café (401.423.2150) and JERI & THE JEEPSTERS hit the East Providence Yacht Club (no cover, 401.434.0161), while AS220 gets into the electro groove with HELOISE & THE SAVOIR FAIRE, THE KOLOUR KULT, and SOPHIA KNAPP ($6, 401.831.9327). On SUNDAY (the 16th), stop by Roots Café and jam with SWEET P. & THE WHO DAT BAND ($5, free for musicians who sign up, 401.272.7422). Ahead to WEDNESDAY (the 19th), prepare for Metal Night at Dusk, delivering a scary triple-bill of WITCH KING, CRYPTER, and NACHZURER all for just $3. And Next THURSDAY (the 20th), get to the Met for the VIKING JESUS (aka Kris Hansen) End of the World CD release party with very special guests JON TIERNEY, JAY BERNDT & THE ORPHANS, and Consuelo's Revenge; the show is all ages with an $8 cover, call 401.729.1005 for details.
