“There’s a ghost in my lungs and it sighs in my sleep/Wraps itself around my tongue, as it softly sleeps,” goes the chorus to Lungs’ standout, “I’m Not Calling You a Liar.” That speaks to her realization that, at the end of the day, it’s only what she’s got within that she can control. “All I have is my voice, you know? What comes out of my mouth. It’s my way to make the world a more . . . poetic place.”
