I honestly can’t believe you think that vegan comfort food would focus onto vegetables. It’s idiots like you who think vegans survive solely on vegetables as opposed to the same over-processed crap (sans animal products) that you meat eaters consume on a daily basis.
I’ve been vegan for almost 10 years. You know what comfort food would consist of for me? A riblets sandwich, microwaved, on a cheap 50-cent hoagie roll. No vegetables.
It’s your stupid, closed-minded assumptions that keep you so far removed, and even further from understanding any other reality but your own.
If I ever meet you and hear your ignorant and misinformed arguments on a vegan diet, I swear I’m going to punch you right in the face.
Thanks for writing a stupid article written for meat eaters (by a boring meat eater) on a restaurant focused on comfort food for vegans (and probably prepared by vegans, too). You don’t know what you’re talking about. But hey, your pompous attitude really filled the word-count requirement.
Oh, and no TVs in the restaurant? It’s okay, I understand, I'd rather watch TV than try to hold a conversation with you as well.

Marching toward fascism?
Chris Faraone’s vivid and scary account of Glenn Beck's march on Washington indirectly brings to mind something many of us know but dare not say publicly: namely, that there is in this land a mass movement of the far right that comes fairly close to fascism. A broad coalition of libertarians, New Deal haters, Ayn Rand worshippers, confederate nostalgists, old-fashioned racists, and Fox News watchers, plus gun lovers, militarists, religious fundamentalists, anti-environmentalists, climate-change deniers, gay bashers, xenophobes, resentful loners, sloganeering ideologues, and all-around ignoramuses and crackpots has jelled as a force and is constantly expanding.
Short of a military coup, these neo-fascists will stop at nothing in their bid for control. How far they can go is anybody’s guess, and they’ll probably be around for much of our lifetime. Kudos for an excellent and prescient report.
