Bush’s house homophobe rubs MA’s House homo the wrong way
By DAVID BERNSTEIN | March 3, 2006
Readers of the Phoenix may recall Scott Bloch, head of the Office of Special Counsel, from the feature article “Bush’s House Homophobe”. Needless to say, House homosexual Barney Frank (D — MA) doesn’t much care for Bloch’s dodging the question of whether Bloch can, and will, use his office to protect gay federal employees from retaliation and discrimination by homophobic bosses. Frank keeps asking Bloch for a direct answer, and Bloch keeps skirting the issue while claiming he’s answered the question. Here is Bloch’s latest response, in a letter from August 2005. Bloch, by the way, is now formally under investigation by the White House for allegedly retaliating against employees whom he suspected of complaining about him to the media.
