I just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed and appreciated your article, "Meet the Masons," in the February 18 Phoenix. I'm a fairly young Mason myself.
Unlike the guys you write about in your article though, I was made a Mason in the military. The Mason population in the military is enormous. I was really excited to read that all the bands I grew up listening to were involved in Masonry! I've been separated from the fraternity for about two years due to military deployments and resettling here in Boston, but your article has totally motivated me to reacquaint myself with the institution I love.

Due to a miscommunication, a statement from the president of Davis Square–based Powderhouse Productions in Chris Faraone's article, "Fade to Black," (February 25), was incorrectly paraphrased. Whereas the writer noted that Powderhouse "lost some business as a result of [Governor Deval] Patrick's announcement [that he may tax the film tax credit]," the company's president, Tug Yourgrau, tells the Phoenix that, in 2010, "Powderhouse enjoyed its best year ever in terms both of job growth and revenue. . . . The tax credit doesn't draw our clients to us; rather, it enables us to develop more proposals to bring in more work."
