MASSACHUSETTS BALLOT QUESTIONS
QUESTION ONE: VOTE YES.
The legislature beat voters to the punch on this initiative, which would improve protection for purchasers of used cars. Still, we should show them it matters.
QUESTION TWO: VOTE NO.
As the Massachusetts Medical Association points out, this measure to enable physician-assisted suicide is poorly drafted. Based on a 15-year-old Oregon provision, it does not reflect advances in palliative care for those suffering terminal illness. We endorse the concept, but not this way to achieve it.
QUESTION THREE: VOTE YES.
Despite objections from the US Department of Justice, medical marijuana is an idea whose time is now. Vote to join our neighbors in Maine and Rhode Island, who have already approved this humane measure.
