Tango Rialto
Cha-cha-chow

Want to taste a bit of Rialto's award-winning cuisine at a fraction of its
usual price, enjoy Argentinean culture, and get some fun exercise in one fell
swoop? Check out Tango Rialto at the famous Charles Hotel restaurant: every
Thursday night, singles and couples of diverse dance abilities and ages mix on
the dance floor, trying to master the intricate steps of the tango. From 10:30
p.m. until midnight, Rialto puts out an elegantly light yet filling buffet that
varies from week to week; often, it features slices of exotic pizza, tiny
focaccia sandwiches, vegetarian strudel, small tastings of flan, and huge bowls
of cold, crisp red grapes. The $10 cover charge includes complimentary tango
lessons from 9 to 10 p.m. at the nearby Wellbridge Fitness Center, just across
the hotel courtyard. Around midnight each week, there's usually a demo from a
tango-proficient couple and a door-prize drawing -- could be dinner at Rialto
or a series of tango lessons.
Rialto is located in the Charles Hotel, One Bennett Street, Cambridge. Park
on-site for $5 with validation. For more information call Rialto at (617)
661-5050 or Joseph at (617) 437-0444. No reservations.
