3 ODDITIES YOU HAVE TO SEE

ROOSTER_LISTS_main
1) The Rooster — Outside Sollitto's Liquor Mart, 905 Narragansett Boulevard, Providence stands an eight-foot-tall, 200-pound fiberglass rooster. After 9/11, the owners scrawled a message on his side: "USA, Love It or Leave It." Never mind that the chicken isn't generally viewed as a symbol of resolve.

2) The Giant Hand Truck — For any giants who may be reading this, you'll be pleased to know there is a 12-foot, bright red hand truck sitting outside Yankee Supply Company, a warehouse supply outfit, at 2140 Hartford Ave, Johnston.

3) Betty the Learned Elephant — Right behind Glocester's Highway Department in the village of Chepachet is the Phoenix's favorite Rhode Island oddity: a six-foot, fiberglass Mr. Potato Head designed to resemble Betty, an elephant assassinated nearby in 1826. We're not making this up.
