Establishing well-regulated, patient-centric dispensaries could make Massachusetts a leader in the national movement to legitimize our country's budding cannabis industry, while caregiving provides personalized patient services that treatment centers can't match.

In the end, each business model serves its purpose by serving patients. But until dispensaries start opening here, our state's municipal governments must also tend to the caregivers if they plan to establish a patient-centered medical-marijuana ecosystem in Massachusetts.

"The money that caregivers make goes back into the local economy — it goes toward their electric bills, local grow shops," explains Patrick Sullivan, one of CCM's founders. "If the true meaning of the law is to help sick people get their medicine, why limit where they can get it?"
