TEXT TO THE EDITOR
Bush: What bugs you the most

Last week we asked the paper's readers to tell us — via text messaging — what bothered them the most about President George W. Bush. The principal complaints: his ties to the religious right, the prospect that he will most likely make appointments to the Supreme Court, his overall performance regarding women, his position on choice (translation: his opposition to abortion), and his opposition to allowing gays and lesbians the right to marry. Interestingly, little concern was shown about the war Bush is waging in Iraq. One person certainly had that on his or her mind — in the world of digital communication we are all unisex — when he/she wrote: "I worry about the Martians watching us from afar who fear we will wage nuclear war upon ourselves." (We’ve edited this text message just a bit.)
