THE FAKE NEWS
Forrest is dead?

It is a poignant cover tribute to a man some have called America’s greatest actor. He’s not dead or anything. A guy doesn’t have to be dead for you to remember him, right?

Since its release last week, the new Harvard Lampoon parody of Premiere magazine, with the striking headline REMEMBERING TOM HANKS, has been tricking magazine shoppers, who at first glance think Forrest is dead. Inside, you get real stories on fake movies, fake interviews with real actors, and a new feature called "Star Shockers" in which the magazine targets a celebrity, "then pay[s] a bounty hunter to stalk them for one week and, finally, shoot them with a taser." (This month: Frankie Muniz!)

The Lampoon will be compiling 24 of its magazine parodies in a forthcoming book. Go to www.nationallampoon.comfor more info.
