Don’t you just love two-for-one sales? Getting a great deal on something is — particularly for those of us who love to shop — incredibly satisfying. Reversible clothing and accessories are the next best thing to a great two-for-one sale because you wind up getting two nifty looks from a single purchase. And what’s great about some of the new trends in reversibles is you’re not just getting a different color when you look to the flip side — often you’ll find a new texture, a different pattern, or even fur. Among the hottest trends are reversible cloth belts, one of the most stylish of which is the reversible Hadley Pollet belt ($98), on sale at Wish. Decorated with either zinnias or polka dots and available in multiple color combinations, this cloth belt sports a faux-tortoiseshell buckle. At Luna, you’ll find a selection of corduroy and suede reversible belts by Tiffany Christian Designs ($45–$60). These tend to be more versatile because one side is a solid color, while the flip side is brightly patterned in a number of different funky designs. Also at Luna are colorful reversible woven belts by Jubilee ($70), in a variety of contrasting patterns. Ella Moss, a designer of simple, figure-flattering clothing, makes a reversible cowl-neck shirt ($118), available online at Boutique Bella. This double-layered, bell-sleeved top comes in pink stripes with solid pink on the reverse, or gray stripes with plain gray on the opposite side. Bloomingdale’s carries the slim-fitting Retroversible shirt by Michael Stars, available with three-quarter-length sleeves ($42) or long sleeves ($48). Although these shirts are the same color inside and out, the textures differ on either side. Also at Bloomingdale’s are the Two-Timin’ reversible tights by Spanx ($32). These control-top tights are tummy- and thigh-slimming, and come in black with your choice of blue, gray, or brown on the reverse. Now that the cold weather’s settled in for a while, you’ll want to extend your wardrobe by making sure your winter gear is reversible as well. Gap carries a reversible faux-fur vest ($68), perfect for those who want to stay warm while being animal-friendly. At J. Jill you’ll find the ultra-soft reversible Peruvian pea coat ($268). This lightweight coat is made of a wool blend and comes in two color combinations: blue and charcoal, and berry and brown. Don’t forget to add a two-tone cashmere scarf ($68) from J. Crew to coordinate with your new coat. These reversible scarves come in five color combinations. Last but not least, how about a reversible handbag to complete your outfit? Add some all-purpose elegance to your wardrobe with a three-in-one convertible handbag by Tallula Tate ($199–$273), from Suitable. Not only do these stunning bags look great solo, but they come equipped with a reversible cover — now that’s thinking! And if that’s not enough, the clutch bag comes with a detachable beaded handle to add even more versatility. If you’re in the market for a casual handbag, there’s the reversible Puff Bag by Ugg ($80), available at Neiman Marcus online. The company famous for its sexy-ugly sheepskin boots decided to extend the look to its handbag collection. The small but spacious Puff Bag is available in a number of colors, with matching colored fleece on the reverse.
