A must-see for anyone who enjoys gawking at relatively young high-achievers, this panel features three writers who've won the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award, an $8000 prize granted to debut fiction. Jennifer Haigh won for Mrs. Kimble, a novel about a dastardly serial monogamist. She has since written two more insightful, character-driven dramas, Baker Towers (dastardly architecture), and The Condition (dastardly genes). Capturing the lunacy of office life by writing in the third-person plural earned Joshua Ferris comparisons to Joseph Heller; Then We Came to the End also won the National Book Award. His second work, The Unnamed, followed a man unable to control his legs. Justin Cronin's first book, Mary and O'Neil, was a family drama told in stories. He followed up with a multigenerational Maine saga, The Summer Guest, and The Passage, a book about the coming vampire apocalypse.
