• The much-anticipated BALTIC SEA full-length has been put on hold until the new year by ERIK ROCK RECORDS, but not to worry: The band are releasing a short-run EP with two songs from the upcoming album, plus a couple of segues and a free download of a b-side from the last record. They're only printing up 100 copies, so grab one quick at SPACE November 6, with EAST OF THE WALL and MURCIELAGO (who big rock fans are having a hard time getting enough of).

ARBOREA are on the KICKSTARTER bandwagon, looking to raise cash for their next full-length. The two-piece folksters have everything written and road-tested and are looking for some support in getting this disc made over the next 30 days or so.

• Remember ALL THE REAL GIRLS? Well, PETE DONOVAN left town, but he didn't give up the project. This week there's a new ATRG EP, How Fiction Works, and you can grab it for free at the Bandcamp and Soundcloud sites (do some googling, figure it out). It's been released on ELIJAH OCEAN's NEW WHEEL MUSIC, has five songs on it, and was constructed in Brooklyn, Seattle, and, as they say, in the cloud. Donovan promises yet another EP, Tinsel Town, before too much of 2011 is out.

• Surely you were paying attention, but just in case: CHRIS DZENGELEWSKI will represent Maine in the GUITAR CENTER DRUM-OFF. Supposedly, the New England finals are November 4, but we haven't been told where. The national winner picks up $25K in cash, plus prizes. Good luck Chris.

CHRIS "C MONEY" BURNS is planning a MILLED PAVEMENT release for sometime before the end of 2010, though he's still putting the finishing touches on a few tracks.

SPOSE is releasing a new song every Wednesday at 4:20 pm on his Facebook page. Just like Kanye, baby. Plus, there's a new full-length digital free release Happy Medium out November 8. The big deal, The Audacity, is out in early 2011.
