On THURSDAY (the 20th), it’s last call for Dennis McCarthy & Friends at Nick-a-Nee’s, and get back there on FRIDAY (the 21st) for the Becky Chace Band; dial 401.861.7290 for info on both gigs. Also on Friday, grindcore chaos ensues at AS220 (401.831.9327) courtesy of Rampant Decay, Suffer on Acid, Misanthropic Noise, and Tinnitus. On SATURDAY (the 22nd), pack a picnic and plenty of vino and head to Sandywoods Center for the Arts in Tiverton and catch local (and excellent) singer-songwriter Steve Allain open for the Jeanne Jolly Band; tix are $15 at the door, call 401.241.7349. Or get to the Spot (401.383.7133) for Indiana Handshake, Herra Terra, The Trophy Fire, and more (18+, 401.383.7133). On SUNDAY (the 23rd), mosey to the Narragansett Café (401.423.2150) for a late-afternoon performance from local legends Roomful of Blues (free!); later that night it’s a Tor Johnson Records takeover over at Dusk (401.714.0444), $4 gets you Neon Bitches, Lyra, Masakari, and Mountain Man. This month marks the 20th anniversary of GG Allin’s death, and a batshit-crazy lineup at Fête on WEDNESDAY (the 26th) will be led by Allin’s notorious backing band Murder Junkies, along with Boston’s Psycho and locals The Louvers, Tinsel Teeth, and Midnight Creeps; tix are only $10 in advance. And next THURSDAY (the 27th), head to the Parlour (fast becoming one of the state’s best live dives, 401.383.5858) and rock out with Von Donovan and Local Lights; or get your boogie on with DJ Can’t Stop spinning at Local 121’s Taproom (21+ and free, 401.274.2121).
