That's right: Obama is in bed with the Bushes. Never mind that they are on opposite sides of the political fence.
The Democrats are fronting for the commies. Haven't heard that since the 1950s, when Richard Nixon was Dwight Eisenhower's vice-president.
Forget also that Islamists are bitter foes of communism, along with democracy, both of which they reject as heathen Western heresies.
Beck's latest fantasy has proven to be too much for even Bill O'Reilly, his fellow Fox News blabbermouth. O'Reilly told Jon Stewart that to understand Beck, one must realize that Beck lives in a bubble and is only rolled out of it to perform.
Makes sense. Wonder what O'Reilly's boss, Fox News honcho Roger Ailes, thinks? Beck's ratings may not be what they once were, but he's clearly a unique brand.
Palin's ex-friend, the previously mentioned Kristol, has also broken with Beck's latest bout of craziness, taking strong issue with Beck's conspiracy theory in the pages of his magazine.
Kristol's slap at Beck drew applause from John O'Sullivan, editor of the conservative National Review.
All of this raises a simple question: why now? Palin has been talking drivel since the day she walked onto the national stage. And Beck's bona fides as a paranoid nut case are beyond reproach.
It is a measure of the right wing's intellectual bankruptcy and dishonesty that Palin and Beck have been lionized for so long.
