Bodies: Gabe Kapler

By TAMARA WIEDER  |  January 16, 2007

How much do you work out?
I work out just about every day.
Do you watch what you eat, or does this body just come naturally?
I pay close attention to my diet. I believe in eating sensibly and in balance. No crazy diets!
What’s your favorite guilty-pleasure food?
Pizza with sausage and pineapple.
You have a great body now, but did you ever go through that awkward phase?
My best friend told me in high school that I was not proportioned. That drove me crazy! I worked out with that thought in my head for years.
If you could have anyone else’s body, whose would it be?
I guess if I could have any other body, it would be David Ortiz. Maybe then I could hit the ball like him too!
Favorite exercise?
Basketball. My opinion is that competing always creates the best workout because one forgets that they are exercising  and focuses solely on winning. Therefore, they train harder and longer.
Least favorite exercise?
Calf raises. I decided a long time ago to stop trying to make them bigger and just cover them in tattoos!
What’s the best body compliment you’ve ever received?
The best compliment I ever get is a question: “What do you do to stay in shape?” If they implement something I have told them, it brightens my day.
What do you consider your best body part?
My best body part is by far my heart. It regularly leads me in the right direction!
