• You know, the "Sibilance" staff just happened to be glancing through a copy of PEOPLE magazine (not that we read it — our wives do!) when we came across a 3.5-out-of-4-star review of the new RAY LAMONTAGNE album. No wonder it sold 100,000 copies in the first two weeks!
• SPOSE is preparing a We Smoked It All, Vol. 2 mixtape for relatively soon release. Included? A freestyle over the CEE-LO "Fuck You" track that's six flavors of awesome.
• JASON SPOONER and crew are going to be working like dogs to promote the new Sea Monster, which hits national shelves on October 26. First up is a 24-date tour with the RYAN MONTBLEAU BAND (they've been touring with MARTIN SEXTON and playing as his backing band) starting September 28 and hit some cool rooms across the country, including Stubb's in Austin and the Mint in Los Angeles. The tour ends with a headlining gig at the KTAO Solar Center in Taos on October 30 (if you're making travel plans). Already, Spooner's first single off the new album, "Crashing Down," is charting nicely on AAA radio, rubbing elbows with new tracks by Los Lobos, Guster, and Tom Petty.
