• The long-awaited new album from PARANOID SOCIAL CLUB now has a release date: May 20. Universal imprint JMD will release the disc, titled Axis IV, continuing the band's fascination with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Currently, JMD has alt-rockers JetSetGo and R&B/hip-hopper S-Class on the roster.
• COMPUTER AT SEA have released a name-your-price album on BANDCAMP, Palace of the Lightbulbs. The digitally infused musical project of artist GALEN RICHMOND can be seen live at Apohadion with the SHORTSLEEVES and the GLOAMING on March 15.
• PETE KILPATRICK fulfilled his goal on KICKSTARTER and now has the dosh to record his next album. In the meantime, listen for his "Restless Souls" on USA's Fairly Legal.
• WMPG's LOCAL MOTIVES, the live and local music show that used to be on Friday nights at 7:30 pm, is back. JAN WILKINSON hung up the headphones, but LEAH RENEE will take her place and continue in her mission of bringing great local bands to the airwaves.
