Speaking of AMANDA GERVASI, we've also got word of a solo release on her part, scheduled for July 24. She recorded it with ERIC BETTENCOURT, who's been alternately everywhere and then nowhere over the past year. Apparently, he's been too busy in the studio to play music of his own, as he says to expect discs from TOMMY BAZARIAN, KYLA MORSE, JAEGER WELLS, and GEOFF ZIMMERMAN in the not-too-distant future.
KURT BAKER, working his solo thing and the GOODNIGHT PROCESS while the LEFTOVERS are taking a rest of sorts, has plans to tour Europe along with RADIO DAYS. His new solo EP on OGLIO should be out soon. First single: "Hanging on the Telephone."
One of the more interesting developments recently? How about CHRIS MOULTON being added to JACOB AUGUSTINE's new band, JACOB AND THE HOUSE OF FIRE? Moulton was frontman for IN THE ARMS OF PROVIDENCE, which collapsed, then the CAMBIATA, which went boom. We're guessing most people are loathe to disappoint the mountain of a man that is Augustine. Could be a good spot for Moulton to shine on guitar and backing vocals. Those two voices together? Watch out.
Post CAMBIATA, drummer DAN CAPALDI is apparently not content being the heart and soul of the excellent HOLY BOYS DANGER CLUB. Word is he's got a complete solo album, produced by Cambiata producer NOAH COLE, already in the can. Look for a late summer, early fall release.
